My ex wants our son to go to private school, but I want him to go to public school. Who decides?
If both parents have joint legal custody, then they should consult each other on matters of major importance, such as which school the child should attend. But the parent that has primary physical custody is the one who has the final say.

Child Wants to Attend School Where Non-Custodial Parent Lives
"My son, age 16, wants to live with his Father so that he can attend a better school. The school he wants to attend says that because I have full custody, my son will have to attend the school where I live. What are my son's rights? Do I have to give up full custody so that my son can live with his dad and attend another school?"
